Project Kickoff
Everyone meets to discuss high-level goals of the project, talk about content and sitemap, and identify responsibilities. We’ll supply you with a timeline of deliverables, for both you and us.
Content Strategy + Website Sitemap Architecture
The first step of any website is to determine what is going to go on the site. We’ll discuss where the website content is going to come from and key messaging. We’ll collect all assets for the project, including images and content. Once this is complete, we will develop a full sitemap which will get reviewed with you before proceeding.
Wireframes
After the sitemap is complete, we begin drawing out wireframes which will help determine technical feasibility, as well as user interaction with the site. The focus here is on usability and layout, not visual design (that will come next).
Visual Design
We will then mockup your new website. This is where we will apply colours, typography, photos and styling to the wireframes. We’ll evaluate and discuss them with you, noting any questions or revision suggestions and apply them prior to development.
Development
It’s time to begin coding! We take our mockups and code them out into responsive, multi-device-ready PHP/HTML/CSS templates built for WordPress. Once complete, all unique website features and plugins will be built here.
Staging + Content Entry
The staging of the site is the final phase before launch. Your new site will be live on our staging server for your review and testing. We will be open for any small revisions as required prior to launch.
Launch
We’ll upload the website files and database to the hosting server and your new site is now officially live. Congrats! At this stage we will submit your website sitemap to Google and set up Google Analytics. If you’ve already got an account, we’ll make sure your data is carried forward.
Post-Launch + Maintenance
Your new website is like a home — a work in progress, always evolving, never truly finished. We keep your site up-to-date with the latest patches and can provide recommendations for ongoing improvements. Read about our hosting and maintenance plans.
